This
week, on Friday, October 17, Bloomistry returns to Kaffe 1870 in
Wakefield, Quebec to put on a show with Kelp Records artist Flecton Big
Sky and his band the Dreamcatchers. Last week's show with Chris Page
was a great success, and the band is looking forward to another
exciting night of music, friends, and the Fall magic of Wakefield. Just
before last week's show, the boys went to Mackenzie King Estate in
Gatineau for a late-afternoon photoshoot with band photographer, Yulia
Teryaeva. To see the pictures, head over to the band's Flickr site. Friday night's show begins at 9:30.

Saturday October 10, Bloomistry played a show at the very lovely Raw
Sugar Cafe in Ottawa. Thanks to Nadia, Rolf, and Craig, and to all who
came out to the show, for a memorable evening. Photos of the
performance can be found here. More pictures are on the way! Thanks to Tim
Kelly, who recorded the show. Looking ahead ... Bloomistry will open up
for Ottawa
music veteran Chris Page (The Stand GT, Camp Radio) Saturday, October
17 at Kaffe 1870 in Wakefield, Quebec. We'll return Friday, October 23
to put on a full show. Hope to see you. In other news, Bloomistry was
featured recently on CBC. Thanks to Amanda Putz for playing the new
record and mentioning the Raw Sugar show. High Fives also to the folks
at Live 88.5 and CHUO FM. It was great meeting you - hope to see you

everyone. The band is sorry to inform you that, due to an accident
suffered by our drummer on the night of Friday December 11, we have had to cancel our December 12 and 16 shows
at Cafe Dekcuf and the Rainbow, respectively. We apologize for the
inconvenience. Please note however that Oceans will perform with
another band on the 16th. The show will go on, and we encourage you to
see this exciting new group. We also want you to know that it is our
hope and intention to reschedule these shows and share a stage with

The band had a short break in November but has returned refreshed. Our very own two-time Genie winner, Simon, has finished work on Steven Silver's latest film, The Bang Bang Club, and was back in the studio this week. Friday, December 4, Wayne was a guest on the CHUO FM radio program "Hop the Fence."
He talked with host Anne-Marie about the history of Bloomistry, the
making of the album To Be, live music in Ottawa, and future plans of
the band. And speaking of live music in Ottawa ... Bloomistry will be
back on stage in one week from today. Saturday, December 12, you can
see the band at Cafe Dekcuf, with 40 watt Monkey. On Wednesday, December 16, Bloomistry will share the Rainbow stage with Ottawa band Oceans.
There will be some never-before-performed Bloomistry songs in these
sets, as well as the usual songs from the six Bloomistry albums, so

will perform live in-studio on CKCU's radio program, Ottawa Live Music,

At the end of March 2009,
Bloomistry will begin studio work on the sixth album. The album is
tentatively named "Broken" and will feature ten to twelve songs built
around acoustic guitar, piano, and percussion. The sessions will
feature guest musicians to be announced later.

Mixing of New Album | 10.10.2008

Planning

Ottawa, Ontario, on August 24, 2008. A new
album, The All American Five, is now in post-production.

15-17 Bloomistry will be in studio for a marathon session. More

Studio Work Resumes | 13.05.2008
Bloomistry
has resumed work on a collection of new songs, some of which will
likely be included on the forthcoming release The All American Five.
Two new songs, "I Guess I'll Need A Miracle" and "River Wide Road,"
were in the set list for a recent show. "There are some really exciting
things happening with this new material. A new sound is evolving out of
the sessions and there's a very positive energy."
In Rehearsal | 29.04.2008
Bloomistry
has been in rehearsal this week preparing for the first live
performance of material from the newest album, All I Know Is The
Skin Of The Earth. A full-length show will take place Monday May 5,
2008 at the Manx in Ottawa. See Shows section for more detail.

March
24/25 Bloomistry will be in studio mixing a new album, All I Know
Is The Skin Of The Earth. This will be the fourth Bloomistry
release, following 2007's Late Bloom. Another album, The
All American Five, is due out later this year.

spent the past week in a marathon studio session at The Undergound.
Twelve new songs for the follow-up to this year's "Late Bloom" CD are
now recorded! The fourth full-length Bloomistry album will be in
production through the Fall and will be released in 2008. Singles from
the new collection however should be available in late 2007.
