News Advisory
| 14.12.2009
Greetings everyone. The band is sorry to inform you that, due to an accident suffered by our drummer on the night of Friday December 11, we have had to cancel our December 12 and 16 shows at Cafe Dekcuf and the Rainbow, respectively. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please note however that Oceans will perform with another band on the 16th. The show will go on, and we encourage you to see this exciting new group. We also want you to know that it is our hope and intention to reschedule these shows and share a stage with both 40 watt Monkey and Oceans in the very near future. At this time, we believe we will be able to play the December 21 show at Zaphod's. We thank-you for your understanding. Please visit our website for updates.

Our very own two-time Genie winner, Simon, has finished work on Steven Silver's latest film, The Bang Bang Club, and was back in the studio this week. Friday, December 4, Wayne was a guest on the CHUO FM radio program "Hop the Fence." He talked with host Anne-Marie about the history of Bloomistry, the making of the album To Be, live music in Ottawa, and future plans of the band. And speaking of live music in Ottawa ... Bloomistry will be back on stage in one week from today. Saturday, December 12, you can see the band at Cafe Dekcuf, with 40 watt Monkey.  On Wednesday, December 16, Bloomistry will share the Rainbow stage with Ottawa band Oceans. There will be some never-before-performed Bloomistry songs in these sets, as well as the usual songs from the six Bloomistry albums, so don't miss it.  Details for these performances can be found in the Shows section."
